Ride

Ride at Old Globe Theater

Why see Ride?

I Want To Ride My Bicycle

Following a much lauded run in London, San Diego sees the American premiere of Ride, a new musical telling the inspiring story of cyclist Annie Londonderry! In the late 19th Century the courageous Annie faces up to a huge challenge: can a woman cycle around the whole world? But perhaps more importantly, does it matter that she's only even been on a bicycle a grand total of twice?

Garnering glowing reviews during its 2022 debut, the show's much anticipated Stateside premiere is directed by Sarah Meadows. The book is by Freya Catrin Smith, with music and lyrics by Smith and Jack Williams; witness for yourself why this new musical has captured the hearts of the UK!

Amazing in EVERY way

Had a lovely time at Ride the musical on Sunday with a friend. Alex Finke as Annie Londonderry was one of the most impressive, layered, and unique performances I've ever seen at the Old Globe. The sets and the costumes were stunning and surprising. The two actors were more than capable of carrying off this show with just two people. ... Read more

Fantastic 2 women musical

Ride was a fun fast paced extremely entertaining musical. The two actresses were absolutely captivating, I couldn’t take my eyes off the stage the entire 90 minutes. I particularly enjoyed the upbeat fun and sometimes hilarious music. ... Read more
