What Is The Story?

At the center of the story is Elinor Benton, a young woman whose well-ordered life is suddenly upended by pregnancy. In an era that leaves women with few choices, she refuses to accept her fate without a fight. Elinor gathers her closest friends for a madcap journey across England in search of the one woman who might help her rewrite her future.
