Why see Agatha Christie's Murder on the Orient Express?

Tickets, Please!

Since its publication in 1934, Agatha Christie's iconic locomotive whodunnit Murder On The Orient Express has thrilled and chilled readers and audiences with subsequent stage/screen adaptations over the decades, including a Hollywood blockbuster or two. An elegant and riveting adaptation, don't miss this new staging from Ken Ludwig and director Peter Amster as it pulls into San Diego's Old Globe this fall!

What Is The Story?

It's the 1930s and detective Hercule Poirot is traveling home on the famed Orient Express. Somewhere between the Middle East and London, his trip is shockingly interrupted by the death of an American tycoon who displays evidence of several stab wounds. With the killer at large on the luxurious train and plenty of passengers with motives of their own, can Poirot solve the crime and apprehend the murderer before the train makes its final stop?

Adapted by playwright Ken Ludwig, watch a refreshing take on one of the greatest murder mysteries ever written.
