Why See Modest Mouse?
Making up for lost time
After the December 2015 release their first LP in eight years, Strangers to Ourselves, Modest Mouse are back and ready to take on North America again with select US dates. A new album is rumoured to be in the works, the big question is if it will be out before their tour dates hit?
Since 1993, Modest Mouse have been a by word for the ultimate in indie cool. With piercing and sometimes poignant lyric insights over crashing guitars, they made the mainstream with 1997's The Lonesome Crowded West but hit Platinum with 2004's Good News for People who Love Bad News that included alternative anthem 'Float On'. With multiple line up changes, including a stint for Smiths icon Johnny Marr, Modest Mouse have proven their staying power and even though their new record was just released, they're vigoriously making up for lost time with a follow up in the making already.
Performance date: 30 May 2017
